Strategy, creative, production, digital and media in one.

(02)  One Team, End to End

Five Stages

This is the argument, before it is a picture. What the brand is claiming, who is meant to believe it, and why they would. Get it wrong and everything after it is expensive decoration.

(03)  We Work Across

4 Fields

Shoes, boots and bags spread across a concrete floor, tags still on them

Field 01

Fashion & Accessories

Worn

A garment is bought on how it moves and on who it makes the buyer feel like. A flat product shot answers neither, which is why the good ones are always a campaign and never a catalogue.

Fashion · Accessories · Footwear · Eyewear · Jewellery

Field 02

Beauty & Fragrance

Felt

Nothing here photographs directly. Texture, scent and the effect on a face have to be carried by everything around the bottle, so the direction does the work the product cannot.

Beauty · Fragrance · Skincare · Cosmetics

Field 03

Design & Interiors

Made

An object is judged on material and proportion, and both collapse under the wrong light. Most of this work is lighting, and the rest is knowing which angle the maker was thinking about.

Design · Interiors · Furniture · Objects · Lighting · Ceramics · Textiles · Homeware · Spaces

Field 04

Venues & Nightlife

Served

A room is judged on how it feels to be seated in it, not on what is plated. That is a lighting and casting problem before it is a food one, which is why most venue photography looks like a menu insert instead of a reason to book.

Restaurants · Bars · Cafés · Openings

the product is rarely the problem.

the way it is seen usually is.

that is the part we work on.

(04)  Ways to Work

Project & Ongoing

Everything here has a start. Not everything has an end.

01You have an idea.

You know what you want to do, but not what it takes to do it. We work that out with you: what it should say, who it is for, and what has to be made. Then we make all of it and put it in market.

02You have a date.

There is a date, and something has to be ready for it. We plan backwards from that day. The direction first, then the shoot, the site, the emails and the media, each finished in the order the launch needs them.

03You're starting over.

The name stays and almost nothing else does. We rebuild the positioning, the identity, the content and the site as one piece of work, rather than four suppliers each fixing their own corner. Then we launch it.

04There's always something.

You do not have one project, you have a year of them. The same team stays on the brand and plans, makes and runs whatever is next: campaigns, content, media, the site. Nothing gets re-briefed from scratch.

(05)  What We Look At

01 / 06

We are always looking for references and inspiration before we start.

A marble sculpture group lit in a deep blue museum room
HistoryWe look to the past for ideas that can shape what comes next.
Laid tables and red banquettes under a planted glass roof
InteriorsWe collect spaces, colours and details that can become references.
A tall printed portrait hanging in a bright corridor
ArtWe look at how art and objects are presented.
Heels arranged along a curved cream shelf
ObjectsWe keep what catches our attention.
Bottles and glassware along a mirrored back bar
Social LifeWe look to the people and the culture around a place.
Shapes cut from a gallery wall revealing colour behind it
MaterialsWe watch texture, surfaces and how things are made.
